Deregulation

From Conservapedia

Deregulation, strictly speaking is a reduction of government control. Often the term deregulation is used as a synonym for restructuring (see also reform).

Liberals blame the movement toward deregulation in recent decades for many economic ills and corruption, while conservatives often view deregulation as opportunity and new found freedom.

The term is sometimes misused, for example by the supposed "deregulation" in California which added heavily regimented controls leading to a shortage of electricity there in the 1990s under Gov. Brown.
