Mati is a small village of 367 hectares in Nawabganj Tehsil in Barabanki district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Mati depends on Banki (NP), the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One Well supply and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sourcesOne canal. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. Mati's pin code is 225301[4], and village code is 05759000. The area of Mati is segregated as 489.794 hectares irrigated area, 10 hectares unirrigated area. the 40 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves) and remaining 102 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Mati has One public telephone. Mati has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Mati is a census village in the district of Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh. The village has a total population of 3416 and has total administration over 593 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Mati has 443 children, 234 boys and 209 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 1087 (31.82%) males constitute 555 (16.25%) of the population and females 532 (15.57%).

The workforce is 899 male, 177 female with 985 (91.54%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 845 males and 140 females. 235 males and 14 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 253 male and 72 female agricultural labor. 91 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Banki (NP) and Barabanki to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
