Wai

From Britannica 11th Edition (1911)

Wai, a town in Satara district, Bombay, on the Kistna river. Pop. (1901) 13,989. It is a place of Hindu pilgrimage, with a large Brahman population, the river being lined with temples and bathing ghats. In the neighbourhood are Buddhist caves.
