Captain Jean-Luc Picard

Captain Jean-Luc Picard was the fictional captain of the U.S.S. Enterprise-D in Star Trek: The Next Generation, and Star Trek Generations. He would later command the U.S.S. Enterprise-E in Star Trek: First Contact, Star Trek: Insurrection, and Star Trek Nemesis. He is played by Patrick Stewart.

Picard is a stark departure from his predecessor, Captain James T. Kirk. While Kirk was more action-oriented and didn't mind getting his hands dirty, Picard is more ambassador like.
