1. I think they were: (1) The colonists were accustomed to independence and self-determination, after thriving with Salutary Neglect. Tory efforts to regulate and tax were bitterly opposed by the Colonies. (2) British burdens hurt nearly all colonists in all walks of life. (4) legally, the colonies disagreed with virtual representation

Good, but use your own words.

2. The colonists used this phrase because they were being heavily taxed by England, and had no representation in the British Parlament, and had no say in the matter. They believed “virtual representation” was impossible because England was so far away. The phrase originated from Reverend Jonathan Mayhew.

Good. Spelling: "Parliament", not "Parlament"

3. The Boston Tea Party was an act of protest by the American colonists against the British Government. A group of colonists led by Samuel Adams disguised themselves as Indians and boarded the tea ships belonging to the British East India Company in Boston Harbor. They dumped all of the tea into the harbor.

Excellent.

4. I do not think I could blame any one person for the Salem Witch Trials. I think that both the legal system and the Puritans are to blame. The Puritans were superstitious, quick to judge, and illogical. The legal system was deeply flawed, allowing “spectral evidence” as a basis for convicting someone. The lack of defense attorneys for the accused, the “touching tests” as evidence, and the proof not having to be proved “beyond reasonable doubt” were other flaws that led to the conviction of many who might have been innocent.

Outstanding answer.

5. False- I think that the colonies with religious freedom were open-minded and rebellious, and got into more conflicts with the king. Massachusetts, for instance, was founded for Puritan beliefs, and that is where the Boston Massacre and the Boston Tea Party both took place. Also, they may have had more motivation to fight.

But Massachusetts did not believe in religious freedom. The Puritans executed people who exercised other religions. (Minus 1).

6. debate- Should England have been able to impose direct taxes on the colonies?--No. The colonies had no direct representation in England, and weren't very connected to England by very much besides trade. England couldn’t have been able to know much about what was going on in the colonies, as it is so far away.

Good.

7. Join, or Die was created by Benjamin Franklin and first published in his Pennsylvania Gazette during May of 1754. It shows a snake severed into eighths. Each segment of the snake is labeled with the initial of a British American colony or region. It suggested that the colonies join together against a threat from the French and Indians.

Excellent.

H2-In an attempt to get money from the colonies to help pay for the French and Indian War, England places various taxes, tariffs, and rules on the colonists’ goods. Things like the Sugar Act, the Stamp Act, and the Townshend Acts, and the Tea Act make life increasingly difficult for the colonists.

Good.

H3-mystery-What was the cause of the possession-like symptoms of the young girls in Salem in 1692, that their doctor attributed to the supernatural?-- I think it could have been several different things. The girls could have been ill, either mentally sick or physically ill such as from a disease or something else. They could have been having seizures. Or they could have been actually possessed by the devil.

Excellent.

H5-debate- Do you think a jury should be able to ignore the law in order to find a defendant not guilty? No. In some cases ignoring the law might help in finding justice. However, assuming the laws are reasonable and logical, they should be steady and employed. If laws can be ignored, this leaves justice to the opinions and judgment of the jury. Why have the laws if a jury can simply nullify them?

Good.
