Dido

From Conservapedia

Dido was the queen of Carthage during Aeneas' visit. Her first husband died, therefore she fled the persecution of her brother. She purchased some land in North Africa and founded the ancient city of Carthage. As queen, she took in the Trojan chief when he was shipwrecked. Due to the machinations of the goddess Hera, she became heavily infatuated with Aeneas. They had a brief romantic fling. When Aeneas left her to continue his travels, she became despondent and committed suicide.
